Rev Dr John Stott has died

It is with mixed sadness and joy that we share news from London that our dearly loved brother in Christ, Rev Dr John Stott, or ‘Uncle’ as he was so fondly known, has gone to glory to be with his Lord. He died aged 90 on 27 July 2011.

A great British preacher, author, evangelist and founder of Langham Partnership International, John Stott has hugely impacted countless lives not only in the UK but all around the globe. Even Billy Graham has said “in my opinion, [he] has scarcely been paralleled since the days of the 16th century European Reformers.”

Within the next few weeks, Langham Partnership NZ will be arranging a special public memorial service to commemorate the life of John Stott. This service will be held at Holy Trinity Cathedral, Parnell, Auckland. You are most welcome to join those wishing to celebrate John Stott's life and service for God.

Details of the memorial service will be available on this website, through Christian media and through contacting the LeaDev-Langham office: T: 09 376 5190; E: admin@ldl.org.nz
