Nobody training for Christian leadership in the Majority World can afford the real cost of their training offered by Bible colleges and seminaries. Thus all LeaDev-Langham Partner Schools operate Scholarship Programmes.

LeaDev-Langham Partner Schools vary in the ways they run their Scholarship Programmes, and LeaDev-Langham works with the schools according to their policies. We do not force any one pattern of student training cost support on our Partner Schools. A minority of schools operate individualised student accounts. Most operate on a scholarship pool, whereby all students collectively receive the benefits of student scholarship support.*

The only LeaDev-Langham requirement is that all students at LeaDev-Langham Partner Schools must pay something towards the cost of their training. Nobody is offered a totally free ride. The amount students are required to pay (sometimes as little as 10-15% of the real cost) is decided by the school. The school then looks to individual supporters, and agencies like LeaDev-Langham, to help provide the cost difference between what students are able to pay and the total true cost of training.

Expenses covered by scholarships at LeaDev-Langham Partner Schools include faculty and staff support, operating costs, library resources for students, accommodation and food. Sometimes this will also include emergency medical help and nutritional support.

Without the kind and level of Student Scholarship support provided by LeaDev-Langham our Partner Schools would simply not be able to offer the training they do. Thus we are deeply grateful to our Scholarship Supporters for making this possible.

Scholarship Supporters can commence support at any amount from NZ$50 per month, usually by bank automatic payment. The actual amount to fully cover a student’s costs may vary from school to school, and even year to year, depending on the NZ$ exchange rate.

All Scholarship Supporters receive a Student Profile (includes a colour photo) plus two reports per year from ‘their’ student up until graduation. Students are not usually informed of the name(s) of their sponsor(s), though this information will be given to the student at the express wish of the sponsor(s). Direct communications can be arranged.  Visits by supporters to LeaDev-Langham Partner Schools ARE encouraged.


*LeaDev-Langham does not partner with or support individuals. LeaDev-Langham only partners with and supports selected Bible/Theological colleges and seminaries with whom we initiate contact. Therefore we are unable to consider support requests from individuals.
